There isn’t much detail in the scriptures regarding the “Rapture”, so I’d like you to consider what I’m about to say using the following perspective of the characteristics of God.
To me, God is the ultimate Father. He is very aware of his children who are here on Earth, and has a desire to protect, guide, and shield them from the hardships that are coming.
Let’s begin with some identifying events and definitions:
The “Church” which is spoken about in the New Testament.
“The church is the body of Christ, with Jesus at the head. In Romans 12:4 KJV: For even as we have many members in one body, and all the members have not the same office. We are all very different, possessing different talents and giftings. However, as the body of Christ, we all pursue the glorification of God.” This is not specific to one particular church or religion, rather it is all of those who believe in Jesus Christ, and see Him as the Savior of the world.
The “Tribulation”, or “Day of the Lord”.
“This 7-year period of time is when God will finish His discipline of Israel and finalize His judgment of the unbelieving world.” I invite you to take some additional time researching what I have just said. Understanding these 7 years of very difficult times is an important foundation in understanding the Rapture.
Throughout time, we have seen the same cycle from the people on Earth. When they are humbled, they are righteous and prosper. Then they get prideful, arrogant, and sin. God then creates hardships to once again humble them… and so it goes, over and over again.
That is what is happening with the tribulation. God is pulling out the stops to create hardships to try and get the attention of those who are not listening to how they should humble themselves and believe in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
There are many upon the Earth right now who have a very strong testimony of the Savior and know that it is only through Him that we can be saved, and live with God again. This group of people, or “The Church”, has no need to be further tested or tried to come to this understanding.
Back to understanding God as the ultimate Father wanting to protect us. He has created a plan so that the Church does not have to endure the hardships of the Tribulation. His plan…
The Rapture, Quickening, or Caught Up:
“The church will be removed from the Earth at the beginning of the period of Tribulation.”
1 Thessalonians 5:9 – For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
Revelation 3:10 – Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
1 Thessalonians 4:16 – For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Luke 17:34-37 – I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.
1 Corinthians 15:52 – In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
Daniel 12:1-2 – And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
Matthew 24:31 – And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Romans 10:9 – That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
And more Scripture for those of the Mormon Faith: D&C 88: 95-99
95 And there shall be silence in heaven for the space of half an hour; and immediately after shall the curtain of heaven be unfolded, as a scroll is unfolded after it is rolled up, and the face of the Lord shall be unveiled;
96 And the saints that are upon the earth, who are alive, shall be quickened and be caught up to meet him.
97 And they who have slept in their graves shall come forth, for their graves shall be opened; and they also shall be caught up to meet him in the midst of the pillar of heaven—
98 They are Christ’s, the first fruits, they who shall descend with him first, and they who are on the earth and in their graves, who are first caught up to meet him; and all this by the voice of the sounding of the trump of the angel of God.
I invite you to prayerfully consider these scriptures and you will come to know that these are all about the Rapture and not the final Second Coming of the Savior. The church must be saved first from God’s final attempt to turn the hearts of the non-believers around.
So, why September 24th? The scriptures tell us that no man knows the date:
Mark 13:32-37 – But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
1 Thessalonians 5:2 – For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
Luke 12:40 – Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.
We don’t know the date and time as stated in the scriptures above. God has a purpose in keeping this easily identifiable from the world. But many who are reading this know full well, that we are in the “Season”. We have been given enough clues through the scriptures, celestial events in the stars and planets, and witnessing firsthand the “signs of the times” to know that this event is near. Do you feel that in your heart?
I can only speculate regarding the day of the Rapture, which is what I am doing by suggesting that we be watchful on Sept 24, 2022. However, my speculation is not merely a guess. It is supported by the events relating to the Jewish calendar.
“The last Sabbatical year (Shmitta) before the Rapture is 2021 / 2022 (5782) and is from Sept. 9, 2021, to Sept. 28, 2022, which is the one-year time range in which the Rapture would have to take place.
The Passover feast on April 15-17, 2022, will be ended exactly the 7 years of warning since the last blood moon tetrad (2014 / 2015), whose beginning was the Passover on April 15, 2014. It is exactly 27,000 days since the founding of the State of Israel and the birth of the last generation before the Rapture and Return of Jesus.
There is little doubt about a Rapture in 2022, as the following text proves. God’s 7,000-year plan with mankind will enter a decisive phase in 2022, because it will be followed by the Rapture, the 7 years of tribulation, and then the Second Coming of Jesus and the Millennium”
Many Christians do not watch and simply say, “The Lord is coming sometime”; but Jesus said that He makes a distinction between those who watch and those who do not because the blessing of Jesus is with those who are ready, watchful, and pondering the scriptures as to when he might come. Jesus did not say that we should not think about it because He is coming at an hour that no one expects, but quite the opposite.
Because for this very reason we must watch, search the Scriptures, pray, recognize the signs of the times, and be ready, especially on the biblical feast days, because here many things have already been fulfilled.”
So, to suggest that we start to be watchful on Sept 24, 2022, seems to be a very prudent thing to do. Understanding that if you use the theory above, you should remain vigilant through Sept 28, 2022, as this is the period of time highly likely for the Rapture to occur.
This is a glorious time. For many, our mortal hardships will soon be over, and we will be reunited with those loved ones who have passed. I also am elated with the understanding that I will soon see my Savior, and share my utmost gratitude for what He has done for me. I am ready, and counting down the minutes for the promise of rescue that God has made to us! We will be surrounded by countless people in Christ, which is the heavenly neighborhood that I want to live in. See you very soon.
